Dusty Springfield의 노래: The windmills of your mind
옛날에 본 영화 가운데 <토마스 크라운 어페어(The Thomas Crown Affair)>란 영화가 있습니다. 이 영화는 1968년 스티브 매퀸과 페이 더나웨이가 주연했던 동명 영화를 1999년에 리메이크한 것입니다. 007로 유명해진 피어스 브로스넌이 백만장자이자 엉뚱한 짓(그림 도둑)을 하는 토마스 크라운역을 맡고 르네 루소라는 여배우는 미술관에서 모네의 그림을 훔친 범인(토마스 크라운)을 쫒는 보험수사관역을 맡아 나름 열연했던 것으로 기억합니다. 이런 얘기를 하는 이유는 영화를 소개하려는 것이 아니라 영화에 삽입되었던 OST 를 소개하기 위해섭니다. 이 노래는 바브라 스트라이샌드, 닐 다이아몬드, 조니 마티스, 더스티 스프링필드, 호세 펠리치아노를 비롯해 유명 가수들이 즐겨 불렀습니다. 짐작컨데 가사와 곡 모두 꽤 괜찮았기 때문일 것입니다. 이들 가운데 개인적으로는 더스티 스피링필드의 노래를 특히 좋아합니다. 가사와 그녀의 노래를 첨부했으니 즐겁게 감상하기 바랍니다.
